Suresh

is a multi-faceted spiritual practitioner born in Hunsor, India in 1959. At the age of nine a yoga master, Krishna Swami, the direct disciple of enlightened master Paramahamsa Sachithananada Yogeshwar, noticed him not to be an ordinary boy. Therefore, he became his spiritual guru for ten years until his death at the age of 100+ years.  During this time Krishna Swami taught Suresh Swara Yoga, Ashtanga Pranayama, and many breathing and meditation techniques. At a young age he also was influenced by other spiritual masters that visited the spiritual yoga center where he studied with Krishna Swami.

In his twenties, Suresh pursued other spiritual practices by travelling India in search of yoga masters and centers.  It was during this time that he deepened his practice of meditation and achieved a deeper state of consciousness.  Suresh learned 11 Indian dialects while travelling and dedicated one year of his life meditating in his home only leaving to see his mother periodically. Today, Suresh is the master at Bheemashakti Yoga Center where he teaches spiritual practices including Ashtanga Pranayama and the ancient system of physical yoga based on Swara Yoga. Recently, he has been teaching many westerners and slowly the depth of his knowledge and experience is being understood.

Jonathan Patriarca

was born in Long Beach, California where he resided for the majority of his life. After finishing college and earning a Bachealor’s of Science Degree in Nursing he specialized in pediatric bone marrow transplant and oncology. He worked as a nurse for 7 years and explored massage therapy becoming a licensed professional working in the San Diego area. During this time he became inspired to study yoga exploring many styles of asana practice and first became a certified teacher at White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. He taught vinyasa flow yoga in San Diego area.Biography Image He took his first trip to India in 2004 to deepen his yoga practice which included studying Ashtanga Yoga with Sri Pattobi Jois in Mysore. He found his body difficult to increase flexibility so he remained open to other styles of yoga but did not find a style that helped him improve to an advanced level. A chain of events led Jonathan on another trip to India in which he studied a few different styles of yoga including Iyengar and Hatha yoga. It was this trip he began studying with his current master H.R. Suresh. It was with Suresh that he learned of a spiritual practice of Ashtanga Pranyama and meditation. In addition, he learned the most effective way to increase the level of his asana practice based on an ancient system called Swara Yoga. He moved to India to study full time with Suresh and thus opening a yoga shala with his master called Bheemashakti Yoga Center in Mysore. Together master H.R. Suresh and Jonathan Patriarca teach the asana concepts and spiritual practices which help the yoga student improve and inspire them to develop on a spiritual level as well as the physical practice.
